Surprise....!!!! 2013

Finally... Here is my reflection on September, thank you for your patience!!

It was a very busy and exciting month for us.  I had my birthday on the 4th and got the best birthday present ever.... my mom and auntie Frieda surprised me with a visit, we had a great lunch together at Ganachê and finished off our time together with yummy dessert at Magnolia.  We also had a fun movie and dinner night with Jo and Terry (staff members at ASM).  Thank you to everybody who made my birthday special!!!

The 27th of September marked the end of our academic year at ASM.  We were hoping to stay on at ASM until June 2014 but the Gateway course which we started with in June was mainly designed to run for only 6 months.  We still need to report back at ASM after our current 6 week outreach in Bangkok for debriefing etc.  We have some plans for additional (specialist) training next year, but nothing is finalised yet.  Please join us in prayer for God's guidance in planning according to His will for next year.

We also had to move back to Bhs on the 28th, my parents came down to help us, and it felt like only yesterday when we moved to ASM.  I can still remember how hard it was to leave life as we knew it behind and how particularly difficult the first 3 months were.  But today I am so THANKFUL for every single difficult day I had to go through, because it has taught me so much about God's grace and has given plenty opportunities for my character to be trimmed and pruned, which we can only really appreciate when we look back over time, not while we're in the cooking pot. . . haha!!

I hope you have a wonderful October (what's left of it)...

                                                                    Birthday Fun....
