Fun, fun, fun!!! 2013

Phew. . . What a busy month we've had.  We finished off our 6 month Mission Service course at ASM very tired and ready to go on leave.  It was a very challenging 2nd term, but we can honestly say that God's grace and all your prayers carried us through!  Be sure to visit our prayer updates page if you wish to know more specifically what to pray for.

A few weeks before our term ended, Johan's parents came to visit us at ASM.  We had a great time visiting the Kruger Park and catching up on all the family news.  We finished off the weekend together with a lovely dinner at the Riverside Mall.  Thank you again for visiting us and treating us with the finest tasting ''boerewors'' in the country!!  Also a special thank you to my dad, mom and Wanda for the fabulous gifts you sent with, it was greatly appreciated!!

Some time out at Riverside Mall.

Finally our 2nd term break arrived, and as usual it's lovely to sleep late, eat my mom's scrambled eggs and have James (our dog) do a very significant dance every morning when we wake up.  We were also treated with a midweek break at De Voetpadkloof with my parents and we had a great time.  A BIG thank you mom and dad!! (More pics coming soon)

On our way to De Voetpadkloof...            Enjoying a lovely braai in the 'bosveld'..

We decided to have a 3-in-1 party for Michael, Johan and Eben.  Michael (my brother) turned 30, Johan is about to turn 30 and Eben is also leaving Bhs to come to ASM for a year.  We ate merrily (as we South Africans always do) and played Mafia till way past midnight.  Aaahh.... it's so lovely to have so many sneaky friends!!  You guys (and girls) are great. . haha!!  (More pics coming soon)

Playing Mafia with Michael as the storyteller...

As usual, having such a short break is never enough time to get to see all our special friends, family and partners.  So if we did not manage to get to you during our last break, please know you're still in our hearts and prayers, and we hope to get the opportunity of spending some time with you in the upcoming December break. (Some more pics coming soon)

Me and Wanda at her skincare clinic, being spoiled...

Me and my mom had a great time with Wanda at Blos Cafe (the best white choc tart ever...) and afterwards I was treated with a fabulous facial and chemical peel.  Thank you again Wanda for the great blessing you are to me!!

Having coffee with my BFF (my mom)....         Having a blast with Sonja at Imagine Cafe...

Please remember to visit our prayer updates page as well as our ministry blog at http://johanandyolandie.blogspot.com/ for a detailed description of our training program for the next 12 weeks.

God bless . . . xxx

Wow, I can't believe were into June already!! These past 8 weeks have flown by so quickly....  2 Weeks ago we finished of the Nations course with a graduation ceremony and a last braai together with everyone.  We had so much fun, please have a look at this hilarious video clip one of the directors made during our 6 weeks together.... Don't be fooled by it though, we had a serious case of "fried brains" after the very intense training.

Saying good-bye to all our deeply loved friends was very hard, especially since we might never see some of them again, they are all spread out over the world working as full time missionaries.  Love you guys...  (Names are not mentioned because some of these missionaries work in "closed countries").

Just having some fun.....

During class time...

Our Graduation...

Last weekend we were visited by two (or should I say three?) of our friends from Middleburg, Raymond and Michelle.  We had a wonderful time at the infamous Magnolia Restaurant.  To those of you who have not visited us in this year, please feel very guilty and start planning!!!!!!
