May 2014

Hi all,

As discussed in the newsletter we are happy to report that after we sent our visa applications via snail mail last month, it has been safely received and in the hands of the people that are in control of visas in Thailand.  Your prayers for grace in this regard is dearly appreciated.  So on to the blog.  We looked at the religious history of Thailand as well as discussing their culture and we will now end of this series with some Thai Language Basics.  Because their english is barely functional these words will be our (and yours when you visit) only source of communication apart from the normal tourist waving of hands and gesturing in trying to explain something.

Although many people have a view on which foreign language is the easiest to learn the hardest one is apparently the one you are trying to learn (haha) and that is why we will be enrolling at a formal language school in order to make sure we focus our energy on what's most important initially. But to get us all started here are some basic Thai language information.
